As you know I've been a kinda off from the community lately (Pretty sad, I love being involved on everything T_T), mainly due to lack of time, so while I've had the idea of doing this for a long time now, it wasn't until recently that it became possible: Creating a new position called Community Manager (Anyone can come up with a better name? We know creativity isnt one of my strengths :P)
This new position is being taken by Xyaru (DID YOU KNOW HE WAS A GUY? For like 5 years I thought he was a she, Kanda messed with my gender-recognition abilities badly)
While the job description is a bit vague at the moment (We're still working on setting it up), as the name states, he will be in charge of managing community-related projects/branches, sort of an RP+Content Manager position.
But what does that mean? As I said, its a bit vague at the moment, but along the position's responsabilities we have:
- Managing the Wiki and it's team.
- Managing the Newspaper project.
- Managing the Social networks team.
- Leading Guides/FAQ/KB/Support content.
- Web/Game UX.
- Passing on the community concerns, issues and expectations to the Administration.
- And managing other secret projects related to the community engagement issue.
Now, the idea isn't to get him overwhelmed, but he is a pretty friendly and neutral person within the community which is exactly what I've been looking for to fill he position, he is pretty active forum wise and so far, he has shown to know what he is doing when it comes to working with community related projects.
