Dark-RO Times is recruiting!


Hello everyone. As some of you may already know the Newspaper already released its very first issue (link). But due to the recent changes in the servers, the work was set on standby until some things were sorted out. So now the project has been taken again and is currently looking for new members with energy and initiative to work on the different sections in both Pie and Force Servers.

Requirements

• Have at least 200 posts on forums. This MAY be bypassed in some cases if your work is good enough.
  
  
• Have a good grammar
  
• Have energy and initiative
  
• Be at least 15 years old (Or mature enough)
  
• No offensive content.
  
• No plagiarism or vandalism.
  
• No biased articles. As a writer you are to remain unbiased.
  
• Do not use someone's name without his/her permission.
  
• You can chose any topic from the above mentioned or any other you think would be worth writing. A maximum of 2 applications can be sent which can not be from the same section.
  
• The article must contain 300 words and atleast 1 image.
  
• Please post the application here with the following form:

Do articles have more than 500 words? I think it's pretty long, most people like to read short things, but it's just and advise. And market is a necessary section? And the market part will be of people who wants to sell and trade or buy things that doesn't belnog to Ragnarok? Real stuff?

The article has to be around 500 words, give or take 25 or so. Real articles may not be that long, but we want to know how you write before you join.

Earlier today [Oct. 19 2007], I got an exclusive interview with someone we all know and love; Neon.
I decided to do this interview to find out if Neon was the person we know him as.
So I bring you today this list of questions and answers asked by me and answered by neon.
This interview took place in prt_maze02 today at 11:30 AM, and lasted nearly 25 minutes, giving me just to learn many things about our Chief in Editor in which I didn’t know.

Q: What is your name?

A: IGN: Neon
Real Name: Karan
Q: What brought you to RO?

A: My cousins played TrinityRO and got me into it.

Q: What brought you to darkRO?

A: Well, TrinityRO died and I found it on the web ._.
Q: How did you become Chief in Editor?

A: At the first meeting we were trying to decide and I took the initiative and was selected.

Q: How would you describe yourself as a person?

A: Intelligent and determined.

Q: What do you like most about being Chief in Editor?

A: Leading the.. AFK team.

Q: Where do you live?

A: Canada

Q: How old are you?

A: 12~18

Q: What grade are you in?

A: 8~10

Q: Have you ever been in jail(RO)?

A: Yes, Zalune jailed me once.

Q: Have you ever been in trouble with the law in real life?

A: Nope.

A: Not really.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the time spent getting to know Karan as much as I did today, a lot of things were learned and he’s quite the interesting person. He is your Chief in Editor and my good friend. Sometimes it helps to know more about important people in the society in which you play. This interview has taught me a few Valuable lessons about people, reporting, and news during some of the 25 minutes in which I spent doing the interview I learned a few things I didn’t know which might help make our knowledge of people such as Karan better, I am looking into doing a few more interviews with a few important people soon! I will bring you more interesting Interviews Reviews and News reports as my time progresses in the community whether it be free lance or as a part of the DarkRO News team. You'll have to write an article following the guidelines. You have to make it.

For example you can write an article about...
Item price raising, whats causing it, hows it going...
Events... How were the last events, what were they about, etc...
Something about latest kRo updates.. cards, items, etc
You can write about the transicion...
Also you could try to interview someone (A staff member or one of those old famous players)

and all that as any other article you've seen published on the newspaper.. But it has to be made by you so we can see how are your skills for it and recruit you if you meet the standars we're aiming for in the writers.

I thought you need someone who has already gotten a 200 posts? Another questions so i can end my questioning.Example, one who wants to apply but he doesn't have enough 200 posts to apply? You wouldn't reconsider that? I'm just thinking because I want to apply but i don't have that 200 posts you mentioned when i last read this article in our school.

The 200 posts requirement is for us to know how active you are. However it is possible to apply with less however the recruitment process is held to those requirements so if you don't meet the minium post count but your work is really good or if you are still active in forums you might still be recruited.

Hope you dont mind me jumpin in, but as you can tell Kai i have like 150 post and i did 3 articles in total 1 being the 1 listed which was by far my worst. Ann's computer turned off by itself

Ann's phone rang


Ann: Hello?
Jordan: Ann, bad news.
Ann: Ha? Ano?
Jordan: Si Noel.
Ann: Ano nangyari kay Noel?!
Jordan: Nasagasaan siya ng truck.
Ann: (cries)
Jordan: Hello? Ann?
Ann: Nasaan siya?
Jordan: Nasa ********.
Ann: Papunta na ko.
Jordan: Ok.


Ann went to ******** Hospital.

Jor dan leaded her to Noel's hospital
room.

Ann hears footsteps from outside.

She turns around.

To her shock, she sees a y Marco
standing there by the door.

Ann screamed.

Ann lost her consciousness.
Wh en Ann woke up, she was lying down
on
a hospital bed.


Ann: Ano nangyari?
Jordan: Hinimatay ka.
Ann: Wow.
Jordan: Akala nga namin kung ano na
nangyari sayo e.
Ann: Yeah. But, I think ready na ako
umuwi.
Jor dan: Sige. Tawagin ko lang si doc.


Jord an leaves.

Blood y Marco appears in front of Ann.


Marc o: Masaya ka na?
Ann: Ano ba Marco?!
Marco: Kung hindi mo ako kaya mahalin,
wala ka nang ibang mamahalin pa!
Ann: Marco patay ka na!
Marco: Pati si Noel!
Ann: Wala kang kwenta!
Marco: (laughs)


Marco disappeared and Ann started
laughing like crazy.

When Jordan returned with the doctor,
they were both shocked to see Ann,
laughing, trying to hurt everyone she
sees.

Since then, Ann has lost her mind and
got checked in a mental hospital.

Ann has never stopped laughing ever
since.
Marco has never forgiven Ann for
finding
a new guy.

And Marco has promised that anyone who
finds out about his story will suffer
the same fate as Ann...

...unless they pass the curse on to
other people with the title SCANDAL
